Italia

My wife Andrea has a wonderful post on her blog about us going to Italy back in October of 1999. It was perhaps the best trip we have ever taken, hands down. Never had we felt so alive and so satisfied up until that point in our lives, six years ago. After experiencing a terrible miscarriage the year before, we vowed to save our pennies and take the trip that would rejuvenate us. Being artists with many art history classes between us, along with Andrea's family background, we decided that a tour of Italy would be the most sensible (and romantic) place to go. And it didn't disappoint. Upon returning from our trip, we soon found out that Andrea was pregnant, with Ava making her grand appearance the following July.

Allow us to be your guide through Venezia, Firenze, Toscana and Roma by visiting our ITALIA! photoset. Hope you enjoy.

  1. That Pic of Andrea is great. It's like something from an 1950's Hitchcock movie...

  2. Great photoset! Some incredible scenery. You two were very luck to see such an invigorating place. I agree, very good picture of your wife. The lighting is incredible. She seems very photogenic.

I can't imagine how stimulating the trip must have been. The colors seem so vibrant and there's obviously something to look at everywhere.

  3. This is one of my favorite photos of her. Glad you guys liked it. And thanks for checking out the photos! We both felt that our trip was just TOO fun and amazing to not share it with others. We're glad to be able to do that with Flickr, even if it is 6 years later.

  5. That is a lovely picture of Andrea. My husband and I were in Prague 6 years ago. Honeymoon, no kids, and post Communist prices! Wonderful times. It's a blessing to have those memories!
