Just a gentle reminder about Iranian/French graphic novelist (and now, Oscar-nominated filmmaker) Marjane Satrapi speaking tonight here in Portland, at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall, 7:30 p.m, downtown.
More info about this event can be found HERE.
Hope to see you there!
How was it???
ReplyDeleteIt was great! Full house, and Marjane was a bit nervous. Very funny and poignant. If you get a chance to see her speak, do so. It's worth it.
ReplyDeleteWard,
ReplyDeleteDid she mention any plans to do more animation ?
I hope she makes another feature .
Wow :) I'd love to do so (there just aren't enough chances), I really really like her!
ReplyDeleteWhat did she talk about exactly? Just the film? Or Comics etc, too?
Persepolis is sooo great...I actually still can't believe that they traced everything by hand. (Not to mention the story)
