Some sketches for ya

Got around to scanning some sketches from my Moleskine recently. Here, take a look:

My favorite sketching subject: my wife.

Those odd drawings over on the right are stoplights and a streetlamp or two. I like to draw them while I wait for them to turn green. Passes the time much quicker.

I love drawing Ava and Ezra, especially if they want to draw too. Ezra: "Uunh DAW!"

Some odd characters at the bottom there, and oh, yeah—me drawing.

Just trying something new here.

Welp, there ya go. Hope you enjoy. I'll try and post some more work soon.

  1. Like these, Mister Jenkins. They feel to me both solid and fragile, if that makes any sense. How big's your Moleskine? (Gee, that sounds kinda dirty.)

  10. Nice! I like the way you seem to CARVE the art out of the page. Although, those boobs are scarin' me! You could poke your eye out with those!

Seriously, though, swell stuff (as you already know). One surprise was the little old lady on the second to last page - she made me giggle out loud!

Jared, no, I haven't had the chance to work in gouache in my current sketchbook, but I do plan to.
