A simple drawing of a little girl drawn by my little girl. Ava wishes everyone a Happy New Year!
------------------------
Currently on hiatus with the family. I plan on writing some sort of meager year-end wrap-up soon, so I'll try and concoct something witty for you all to revel in.
She will have your job soon, Ward.
ReplyDeleteLovely drawing. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeletelove the bows! looking forward to the wrap up!
ReplyDeleteoh, the pink and the red! I love it!
ReplyDeleteHAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
ReplyDeleteAva is BRRRRIIIILLLIIIAAAANNNNTTTT!
(sincerely)
I never would have chose such BOLD colors to express the complexity of the arrival of 2006. Her use of rouge and magenta catapults her beyond her contemporaries. She will stun the art world at the Whitney Biennial one day! I plan to be there.
One mystery: I've been wondering what's in the girl's hand...
By the way, I left a message on Andrea's phone the other day (do you have a new cell number?) telling her I wish you could have been with me at the MoMA to see the PIXAR exhibit. I know you woulda' loved it. It was amazing. You need to fly up and see it.
Happy new year, Ward! All the best you and the family.
ReplyDeleteGreat stuff! Ava should start up her own blog. I might put one up just for my kids art. Maybe they could do one together, it would be fun.
ReplyDeleteIs that a New Year's Taco?
ReplyDeleteHa! It does look like a taco, doesn't it? Well, to squelch any mystery here, that's the girl's hand. Ava decided to go into a little more detail for the fingers and hand there, and it ended up looking like she was holding something.
ReplyDeleteHope everyone's New Year was great!
