  1. Pardon my ignorance. But what does it mean in your post when you say "passing the baton"?
    Just wondering.
You are so hip it hurts.

  2. Man. That's some geeky music. ;)
Actually, it's cool getting to check out what others are listening to... and now the baton has been passed to me... I'll have to get my act together and figure out my answers to these questions... :)

  4. andrea -- of course! Can't wait to see what's on your list, sweetie.

Jared -- your stuff better be good! Nah, no pressure, of course. Just having fun here, right?

slimwhitman -- "passing the baton" is an expression for taking something that's been given to you and then giving it to someone else. It came from sports, as part of the track & field: the relay race, where 4 guys run one race together, but only one guy will run at a given time. One guy will finish his lap, then pass a metal tube, or "baton," to the next guy, who then runs his lap, etc.

This "musical baton" business has been making the rounds for a couple of months, where somebody came up with the idea and "passed the baton," to five others to post their answers. Those five then had to each pass the baton to five more, and so on, and so on..... It can be pretty fascinating to see what others listen to.

And I can only wish that I'm so hip. It's all a facade, really.
